Traffic Monitor

Internal posting – Fairport, NY 14450 (Creekside School). 10-month, part-time position: 3:30 p.m.–4:00 p.m. Starting September 2026. Salary at your 2026-27 Monroe One BOCES Teacher Aide/Para rate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in lining up buses in the bus loops.
• Direct students to their buses or escort them to classrooms when extra assistance is needed.
• Relay information to bus drivers and attendants regarding students who left early, arrived late, or were absent in the morning.
• Stay with students when buses arrive late at the end of the day.
• Communicate any issues involving students, staff, or transportation to office staff and administrators during arrival and dismissal.
• Check in with office staff/administrators before student arrival and after dismissal for any additional tasks.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, bus drivers, and bus attendants.
• Strong attendance record and punctuality.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to represent Creekside School professionally and courteously.
• Ability to use (or willingness to learn) a two-way radio.
• Physically able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, in various weather conditions.
