Traffic / ITS Engineer - HYBRID IN MANY OFFICES
Responsibilities
- Support a team of professionals to deliver: Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design.
- Create plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation.
- Work on ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process.
- Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects.
- Participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.
- Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards.
- Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants.
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
- Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
- Cook with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities.
Qualifications
- BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Preferred minimum 5 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards and projects.
- Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license in 6 months.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms.
- Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required.
- Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work.

Additional Information
Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $85000 to $125000. yearly.
