Traffic & Intelligent Transportation System Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Project management for traffic related projects
• Opportunity to lead design on ITS projects
• Supervision of junior staff for project development and coordination of tasks
• Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate technical assignments
• Perform traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design
• Create plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation
• Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects
• Participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.
• Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards
• Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants
• Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
• Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
• Manage group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Preferred minimum 5 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards and projects
• Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license in 6 months
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms
• Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required
• Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work
