Job Responsibilities
- Project management for traffic related projects
- Opportunity to lead design on ITS projects
- Supervision of junior staff for project development and coordination of tasks
- Interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate technical assignments
- Perform traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design
- Create plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation
- Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects
- Participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc.
- Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards
- Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants
- Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
- Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
- Manage group of engineers and/or technicians, coordinating activities of the unit
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree plus six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Preferred minimum 5 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards and projects
- Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license in 6 months
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms
- Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required
- Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work
