Traffic Engineering Intern

Dewberry is seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Transportation Group in our Baltimore, MD office. Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of a licensed professional engineer on various traffic engineering tasks, including:
• Design and studies related to traffic signals, signing, and pavement markings
• Work zone traffic control
• Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
• Connected and Autonomous (CAV) vehicle technology
• Roadway lighting
• Traffic operational and safety analyses

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering, with an emphasis in transportation
• Previous internship experience preferred
• Experience using CADD (MicroStation or AutoCAD)
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Pay

Salary Range: $18.75/hour - $29.75/hour, depending on skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
