Responsibilities
- Oversight of daily traffic design projects
- Maintenance of traffic, signals, signing, and pavement markings for ODOT and local municipalities
- Leadership and development of project deliverables in collaboration with the project team
- Conducting traffic studies and capacity analysis projects
- Preparation and review of cost estimates for traffic-related project components
- Management and coordination of project drawings using MicroStation
- Maintaining quality control of plans, specifications, and deliverables
- Mentoring and leading junior engineers on design tasks
- Engagement with industry contacts and identification of marketing opportunities
- Participation in project meetings and client communications
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment, or ability to be registered with reciprocity; PTOE preferred
- 4 - 10 years of related traffic design experience for state and municipal transportation clients
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation or OpenRoads; experience with AGI32, Synchro, HCS, TransModeler, or Vissim a plus
- Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
- Servant leader committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence while developing others
