Responsibilities

  • Oversight of daily traffic design projects
  • Maintenance of traffic, signals, signing, and pavement markings for ODOT and local municipalities
  • Leadership and development of project deliverables in collaboration with the project team
  • Conducting traffic studies and capacity analysis projects
  • Preparation and review of cost estimates for traffic-related project components
  • Management and coordination of project drawings using MicroStation
  • Maintaining quality control of plans, specifications, and deliverables
  • Mentoring and leading junior engineers on design tasks
  • Engagement with industry contacts and identification of marketing opportunities
  • Participation in project meetings and client communications

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited program
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of employment, or ability to be registered with reciprocity; PTOE preferred
  • 4 - 10 years of related traffic design experience for state and municipal transportation clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation or OpenRoads; experience with AGI32, Synchro, HCS, TransModeler, or Vissim a plus
  • Adaptable and self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset as well as a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Servant leader committed to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence while developing others

Qualifications
