Your Impact
- Mentor junior staff and help grow the traffic department.
- Conduct signal timing studies, evaluation of signal systems, and adaptive signal systems.
- Design ITS, traffic signal, and lighting systems.
- Design complex traffic control during construction plans.
- Develop signing and pavement marking plans.
- Analyze intersection and highway levels of service.
- Conduct field reviews to identify safety and operational issues.
- Cookordination work tasks and reviews to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Clearly communicate work through drawings, documents, reports, and verbal exchange.
- Prepare Also plans for PSE with specifications, TABS, and estimates.
- Cookordinate internal traffic work to support other Lochner offices.
Business Development
- Aid in development of new business via client meetings and participation in promotional activities and professional organizations.
- Participate in project scoping, fee estimating and proposal activities.
- Marketing of clients and projects with a focus on transportation planning and traffic engineering.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional License (PE) in Pennsylvania required.
- 5+ years of traffic/transportation engineering experience.
- PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike experience required.
- Experience using CADD design software.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
