Traffic Control Specialist

About the role

Monitoring and controlling access to the Lubbock Drop Yard by being stationed at the traffic control building. Responsible for verifying the identity of visitors and employees entering and exiting the premises ensuring authorized personal is allowed; often including checking vehicles, trucks, trailers, documentation for verification and security purposes. Interaction with visitors and employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Frequent Yard Checks
• Coordinates trailer assignments and visitor check in/check out utilizing YMS software
• Checking identification badges and credentials of individuals entering and leaving the property
• Accurate recording of all information into Company use software
• Assist dispatch with dispatching of loads
• Diligent observation of surroundings
• Recording details of all visitors including arrival and departure times
• Opening and closing gates to allow authorized entry and exit
• Providing directions and answering basic questions for visitors

Schedule

Working various shifts including nights weekends and holidays.

Pay

$17.00 - $18.00 Hourly
