Traffic Control Flagger

About the Role

As a Protector at AWP Safety, you'll work with a team at job sites to ensure traffic safety. No experience or degree is needed—we provide training and support to help you build a career in traffic management.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and taking down traffic control equipment like cones, signs, and barricades
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic and monitoring job site activity
• Following all safety rules and procedures taught in training
• Communicating effectively with your crew and supervisor
• Helping maintain clean and safe vehicles and equipment
• Working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods (8–12 hours per shift)
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds
• Willingness to work in traffic and changing weather conditions
• Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and emergency work
• Punctuality and reliability
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test
• Ability to stay alert around moving traffic and follow safety rules
• Respectful attitude toward coworkers, clients, and the public

Pay

$17.65–$19.50 per hour, with overtime available. Pay increases in the first year. Paid training and a traffic safety certificate are included.
