About the role

As a Protector, you will work with a team at job sites, setting up and taking down traffic control equipment, guiding traffic, and maintaining safety. No prior experience or degree is required—we provide full training and support to help you build a career in traffic safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down cones, signs, barricades, and other traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic while monitoring job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate with your crew and supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of vehicles and equipment.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule; must show up on time for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (this is a safety-sensitive job).
• Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules at all times.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.
• Provide your own steel-toe safety boots that go above the ankle.

Pay

$17.25–$18.00 per hour, with overtime available and pay increases in your first year.

Schedule

Shifts may vary based on job needs, including nights, weekends, or emergency work.
