About the role

As a Protector, you will work with a team at job sites to ensure safety and manage traffic. No prior experience or degree is required—we provide full training and support to help you build a career.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down cones, signs, barricades, and other traffic control equipment.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic while monitoring job site activity.
• Follow all safety rules taught in training.
• Communicate effectively with your crew and supervisor.
• Help maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean and safe condition.
• Work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Stand or walk for 8 to 12 hours per shift.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Willing to work in traffic and changing weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule; must show up on time for every shift.
• Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (this is a safety-sensitive job).
• Must stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules at all times.
• Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect.

What we provide

• Hard hat, safety goggles, safety vest, safety whistle, walkie-talkie, and cold/hot weather gear.
• Steel-toe safety boots (above the ankle) are the employee’s responsibility.

Pay

• Starting pay: $18.50–$19.25 per hour.
• Overtime available.
• Pay increases within the first year.
