About the Role
Under the supervision of the Parking Operations Supervisor, the Traffic Attendant’s primary function is to provide customers and guests visiting Bal Harbour Shops with excellent service and to assist them with any questions or concerns they may have, particularly as it relates to parking and accessing the shops.
Responsibilities
- Collect parking payment when necessary.
- Troubleshoot parking equipment.
- Ensure parking kiosks have paper.
- Assist customers and mall employees with any issues they have related to parking.
- Assist customers with questions or concerns regarding the center, including store locations, operating hours, or driving directions.
- Assist security with traffic.
- Maintain work area clean at all times.
- Provide professional representation of the shops by wearing the required uniform, including black sneakers/shoes and hat, which must be worn at all times while on shift; any other clothing or accessories must be approved by Parking Department Management team.
Requirements
- Prior parking garage experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of parking technology.
- Able to perform simple math.
- Fluent in English.
- Driver’s License preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, twist, and stretch for extended periods.
- Occasionally climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Ability to push and pull up to approximately 20 lbs of drag weight without assistance.
- Work outside in the parking garage and be exposed to all weather conditions.
