Trading Systems Operations Engineer (USA)

Responsibilities

• Maintain systems monitoring and ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Support the implementation of new trade functionality
• Proactively identify and resolve potential issues to minimize downtime and optimize system efficiency
• Leverage automation tools (including AI-based solutions) to improve accounting or operational workflows
• Respond promptly to system alerts and incidents, investigating root causes and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence
• Provide technical and analytical support to Research, Accounting, and Compliance teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a STEM-related field
• 3+ years of experience as a systems operations engineer, preferably within the financial services industry
• Strong quantitative analytical skills
• Proficiency in Linux systems
• Experience with a scripting language (Python, Perl, Bash)
• Excellent communication skills and enjoy interfacing with clients, both internal and external
• Excited to work independently in a very fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Understanding of Market Data/Order Entry systems and an interest in how modern electronic markets work
