Trading Systems Engineer - Options Market Making
About the role
You will be helping to improve performance and stability across our trading platforms at Maven, a critical role to ensure our day-to-day trading activities are optimised and uninterrupted. Your quest as guardian of the trading systems will involve monitoring, tweaking and preventing incidents from happening and if unsuccessful, resolving them. You’ll also be the custodian of future releases, ensuring releases have a positive impact to trading by implementing tools to further automate our processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and tweak trading systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
- Prevent and resolve incidents affecting trading operations
- Implement tools to automate processes for future releases
Requirements
- Pragmatic with a drive for quality and a sense of humor
- Interest in performance tuning and optimisation
- Experience with Python
- Experience in a CI/CD environment and understanding of how to leverage third-party tools like Ansible, Octopus, TeamCity, Volt, and Jira
- Linux system administration experience
Qualifications
- Technical skills in Python and Linux
