Trading & Portfolio Implementation Associate

About the role

Sunflower Bank, N.A./First Foundation Advisors is seeking a Trading & Portfolio Implementation Associate in Irvine, CA. The position offers a salary range of $78,000 to $113,000 based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with all relevant laws and regulations
• Execute equity, mutual funds, and fixed-income trades as directed
• Implement portfolio allocations according to FFA's investment philosophy and process
• Manage and organize the trading inbox
• Monitor and reconcile trades, including soft dollar commissions
• Contribute to departmental projects and initiatives
• Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of related experience
• Experience in trading/securities preferred
• Experience with Python/AI workflow automation or demonstrated aptitude for learning
• Advanced proficiency with Excel & PowerPoint
• VBA and/or financial modeling skills are a plus
• Understanding of systems, software, and information/data infrastructure
• Highly organized and adaptable to change
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
