Trading Assistant - Diversified Department

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate entry, confirmation, and allocation of derivative transactions into risk management system utilizing order management system and rectify any breaks.
• Perform end of day position, P&L, and cash margin calculations.
• Track position limits and flag operational/settlement discrepancies.
• Cook up order flow and derivative market information with internal business stakeholders.
• Communicate with external counterparties to reconcile positions.
• Aid in testing new trading technologies, automating manual reports, and increasing desk efficiency.

Requirements

• Obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Show a strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Show detail orientation, organization, diligence.
• Have experience working on a trading desk or similar fast-paced, open environment.
• Maintain composure and communicate clearly when under pressure.
• Be able to succeed working as part of a team.
• Show strong interest in trading and derivative markets in particular.
• Show a strong understanding of math, probability, and statistics.
• Show high level of proficiency in Excel and VBA.
• Show proficiency in Bloomberg / SQL / Python (a plus).
• Show advanced aptitude for problem-solving and multitasking.
• Show entrepreneurial drive and willingness to work non-traditional business hours.
• Show ability to work in office Monday through Friday.
• Show ability to travel as needed.
