About the role
We are seeking an experienced and high-integrity Trader to join Vident Asset Management (Vident).
Responsibilities
- Execute investment transactions and support portfolio managers in achieving their investment objectives.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for optimizing trading processes.
- Trade monitoring, engagement with ETF market makers, and producing reports.
- Mitigate trade risk and support new business initiatives.
- Address any assigned tasks by your manager.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of trading and its relation to portfolio management and investment operations, with 4 or more years of practical experience.
- Experience with domestic and international trade settlement and reconciliation processes.
- Experience trading or managing portfolios with options.
- Excellent Excel knowledge and strong programming skills, including Python.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize while producing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Able to discreetly handle confidential data.
- Strong organizational skills and proactive planning, with an ability to respond to urgent requests.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field.
- Registered Investment Advisor and ETF experience.
- Familiarity with Bloomberg, AIM, Orion or other portfolio management systems.
