Trademark and Copyright Associate Attorney
About the role
The Trademark and Copyright Group at Day Pitney is seeking an Associate with 3-4 years of dedicated intellectual property experience in private practice to join our growing team in either our Boston or New York office, with flexibility to consider Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Domestic and global trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement and management, including trademark counseling, clearance search and analysis, prosecution and maintenance, portfolio management.
- Trademark disputes, internet and e-commerce, online investigations and general enforcement matters.
- Structuring, drafting and negotiating agreements and contractual provisions related to IP and trademark matters.
- Conducting IP due diligence for corporate mergers, acquisitions, and other deals.
- Trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
Requirements
- 3-4 years of dedicated intellectual property experience in private practice
- Excellent organizational, technical, and professional skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Team-oriented with an emphasis on collaboration
- Proven track record of problem solving and "thinking outside of the box" to achieve client goals
- Self-starter with excellent client service skills and strong attention to detail and ability to handle high-volume trademark prosecution practice
- Bar admission in good standing in the jurisdiction you plan to practice
