About the role

The Trades Specialist plays a crucial role in the Commercial Construction field sales team, focusing on territories such as Syracuse, NY. The ideal candidate will sell DEWALT, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, PORTERCABLE brands to end-user customers, establish key partnerships, and manage CORE and other SBD user contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals & objectives
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with end-user partners
  • Teach and mentor local market teams on end-user development processes
  • Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and planning tool
  • Communicate successes and failures to refine processes and future strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred
  • Relevant construction field experience could be substituted for higher education
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies with a proven track record
  • Experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills
  • Valid Driver's License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within territory assignment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook

Pay

The total target cash compensation range for this position is $84,000.00 - $135,200.00. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual merit increases.

Schedule

The schedule for this role is typically full-time, with occasional travel required.
