Trade Instructor, Substitute
About the role
The Charleston Job Corps Center in Charleston, WV is seeking a career technical instructor to provide quality services to local youth.
Responsibilities
- Provide students with direction, instruction, and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
- Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems, or study habits.
- Cookordinate with counselors and staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training and/or instruction.
- Develop and prepare lessons in accordance with approved curriculum guidelines, recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe training environment.
Requirements
- Substitute teaching certification/license, as required by the state of employment.
- Two (2) years of work-related experience in the designated career training area.
- Willing to obtain the OSHA 10 credential within the first 90 days of employment, if needed.
- A valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
