About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving, structuring, and managing a robust trade finance portfolio, specifically focusing on off-balance sheet contingent liabilities across approved sectors. The role involves generating non-funded income and providing comprehensive support to the business team in planning and executing sales strategies to maximize both new and repeat business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end processing of various trade products including letters of credit, documentary collections, bills avalisation, and guarantees, ensuring high standards of operational efficiency and risk management.
• Collaborate with various internal departments to streamline processes, improve turnaround times, and establish effective service level agreements.
• Manage regional trade activities, monitoring quantitative and qualitative performance metrics, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Handle team management, staff training, and conducting workshops to enhance trade finance capabilities.
• Promote the institution's trade services through formal presentations and client business development initiatives.
