Trade Compliance Program Manager, Global Trade Services

About the role

Amazon is looking for an Import/Export Specialist I to support import and export compliance operations for growing international businesses in the Trade Operations space. The Import/Export Specialist I is responsible for executing and supporting trade compliance processes within a cross-functional program under guidance from senior team members. As a member of the Global Trade Services team, you will develop your trade compliance expertise, support team operations, and collaborate with colleagues across functions.

Responsibilities

• Execute Broker Management activities and liaise with brokers and supply chain participants daily.
• Serve as a point of contact for routine regulatory inquiries in North America, escalating complex matters as needed.
• Support team objectives, contribute to process improvements, and track progress using defined metrics.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders including business, tech, legal, and trade teams to apply regulations under guidance.
• Support the rollout of controls and audits, including testing and measuring their effectiveness.
• Contribute to scalable solutions across technologies, business models, and country regulatory regimes.
• Stay informed on relevant regulations and technologies; flag updates to the team.
• Prepare summaries articulating problem statements, solutions, and milestones for senior review.
• Track timelines and owners to support risk reduction at appropriate speed.
• Gather feedback from cross-company input providers; review metrics and benchmarks to validate assumptions.
• Work with BI engineers and tech teams to track KPIs and maintain reporting systems.
• Communicate risks, regulatory updates, and operational status to stakeholders in meetings and documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in Trade Compliance and/or Supply Chain industry, i.e. as customs agent/officer, compliance specialist, or customs operations
