Trade Compliance Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and approve all Department of State (DoS) license applications before submission.
  • Review and approve ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions.
  • Coincide with product management and technical teams to furnish necessary licensable product data to the USG.
  • Manage and track DoS license approvals and maintain accurate export records.
  • Provide trade compliance guidance and training to team members and business partners.
  • Prepare and maintain export authorizations, including DSP-5 Technical Data Letters for electronic exports.
  • Review and approve new consultant, distributor, and representative agreements.
  • Maintain records of all export licenses and provide budgetary data to the accounting department.
  • Participate in the Insider Threat Program Panel.
  • Support a collaborative, transparent, and positive culture within the organization.
  • Exercise keen judgment and discretion while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while being an effective team player.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 7 years of experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, 13 years of directly related experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with U.S. trade sanctions programs, including the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
