Tractor Trailer/Truck Driver

About the role

As a tractor trailer truck driver, you’ll be a vital part of our team, collaborating with co-workers and managers to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll be trusted to uphold our high standards for safety and professionalism while delivering exceptional service. Work collaboratively within a team environment and engage with both co-workers and management.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of vehicle, including thorough daily inspections and maintaining necessary documentation for compliance.
• Following dispatch instructions and obeying all applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitoring gauges during operation and keeping meticulous logs of vehicle mileage.
• Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently, with care for product quality.
• Maintaining your truck in clean, top-notch condition, performing minor service and maintenance as needed.
• Fostering a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues, using clear communication, including hand signals and constant eye contact when backing.
• Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members to help build a stronger, more capable workforce.
• Adapting and assisting by performing general labor and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and a criminal background check.
• Thrive in a safety-sensitive workplace and pass a “Fit for Work” physical.
• Provide valid documentation for I-9 verification.
• Show professionalism and a courteous attitude toward co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
• Show flexibility to work nights, weekends, overtime, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strictly follow all safety procedures and wear PPE in designated areas.
• Hold a current driver’s license that meets state requirements (CDL, Class B; hazmat and tanker endorsements a plus).
• Maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets company standards.
• Be at least 18 years old to comply with workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in the construction field is a strong asset.

• Professionalism and a courteous attitude.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, overtime, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strict adherence to safety procedures and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
• Physical fitness to perform tasks involving physical agility.

Pay

$21-22/hr. commensurate with your skills and experience.

Schedule

Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions.
