Track & Field Graduate Assistant
About the role
The Track & Field Graduate Assistant position is part of the Mount Marty University Athletic Department. This role requires candidates to be accepted into the Mount Marty University Masters of Education Coaching Leadership Program with a minimum GPA of 2.75, three letters of reference, and a 1-2-page essay.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development and implementation of training plans for designated event groups during both indoor and outdoor track & field seasons.
- Coach student-athletes as assigned during practices and meets.
- Evaluate the daily progress of student-athletes.
- Recruit prospective student athletes in compliance with University-developed goals and within NAIA guidelines.
- Participate in event scheduling, budget management, procurement of equipment, all aspects of meet management for collegiate and high school events, and fundraising.
Requirements
Candidates must have high jump, long jump, and triple jump experience, or experience with discus, shot put, javelin, weight throw, and hammer throw.

Skills
Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and experience with various track & field events are essential.

The candidate will receive a 2/3 tuition waiver from Mount Marty’s Master of Education in Coaching Leadership Program and a $2,500 academic stipend. Additional income opportunities will be available during the off-season.
