Position Summary
This role will utilize Trimble technology to lay out private commercial construction projects. Jobsite layout will include locating sleeves, hanger inserts, anchor points, and any structural openings needed for our work. The operator will also be responsible for performing as-built point files at the conclusion of projects.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Cookinate multiple projects, in various stages of design, to successfully complete
- Coordinate layout efforts with field team
- Conduct site-visits
- Communicate frequently with project team members including architects, engineers, and project managers
- Prepare files for the Trimble RTS for layout
- Meet with project and GC team onsite to evaluate conditions of control points and anything else needed to perform layout
- Liaison between BIM team and project team as it relates to as-builts or existing conditions
- Update point files with all field conditions or changes
- Provide efficient and accurate layout to the field utilizing Trimble RTS
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications And Experience
- Experience/Qualifications Required: Expertise with Trimble, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite. 1-3 years of hands-on mechanical/plumbing design experience is preferred. Knowledge of Trimble is essential.
- Job Skills: Ability to read and interpret structural and mechanical plans and specifications. Ability to solve complex technical problems with little guidance. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, project partners, vendors, and clients. Must be able to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work efficiently. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. Possess strong organizational and analytical skills. Self-motivated; takes initiative
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associate degree, Technical Degree in drafting, or design technology is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Able to walk job sites
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to walk; climb or balance
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

- Valid Driver’s License
- OSHA 10 Certified
