Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems
- Understand and implement MasTec Communications Group (MNS) Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies (Safety Manual)
- Understand and implement industry standards (OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS, and ANSI)
- Climb towers and ladders at various heights
- Conduct the erection of various tower types
- Offload material and inventory
- Prepare and clean sites
- Install new carriers on new build and existing towers
- Assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles
- Assist in the assembly of monopole, all-weld and knock-down self-support and guyed towers
- Assist in antenna installation of microwave parabolic (1 to 15-foot), VHF, UHF, cellular, and FM broadcast antennas
- Assist in transmission line and installation of foam/air dielectric coaxial, hardline, and elliptical waveguides
- Assist in installation of all aspects of electrical site foundations, grounding, and conduits, including electrical installations where applicable
- Complete other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Degree or equivalent, with 8 years of experience
- Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions as printed
- Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations
- Possession of an NWSA certification is a plus
- Ability to climb towers, lift 50 lbs., and work up to 12 hours
- Valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company policy conditions
- Availability to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively for job-related functions
- Ability to work out of market or away from home as work demands

Pay
$25–$28 per hour
