TOWER TECH II - FL

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the build and maintenance of cell towers, small cells, and other wireless equipment and structures across the assigned territory.
• Provide support to the foreman, top hand, and or TTT-III employees on site.
• On site responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Grounding
• Installation of antennas
• Antenna mounts, microwaves, coax lines, TMA’s, RF Jumpers, remote electrical down-tilts / Bias-T’s, Remote radio heads
• Fiber / DC Hybrid cables
• Sweep and PIM testing
• Site audits and maintenance tasks
• Troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance
• Complete work in a timely and efficient manner by planning, prioritizing, and coordination with supervisors.
• Absolutely must be able to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays, and evening hours.
• Maintain and enforce all BCI and OSHA safety practices, perform daily jobsite safety inspections on equipment prior to operation.
• Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist.
• May maintain and enforce all BCI and OSHA safety practices, perform daily jobsite safety inspections on equipment prior to operation.
• Must be able to satisfactorily complete all aspects of BCI’s Tower training classes.
• Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• 2+ years tower construction background required, Or 1+ years tower tech. with TTT-I or II.
• Certification, both written and practical.
• Able to read blueprints, details, and specifications.
• Cad-weld or other thermo-weld training helpful.
• Has demonstrated knowledge of Test Equipment, Sweep, PIM & Fiber, and Certification in each.
• Has demonstrated knowledge of standard knots, Pass N.A.T.E. Tower Climbers Exam.
• Successfully complete BCI Tower and Safety Training.
• Not required but experience installing and integrating T-Mobile, AT & T, Verizon, Dish, and Sprint is a plus.

Physical Demands

• Standing 90% of the day.
• Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone.
• Visual ability correctable to 20/20.
• Ability to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle.
• Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone.
• Ability to stoop and bend.
• Ability to reach and stretch.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and climb.
• Ability to work on job site in remote location for extended periods of time.

Work Environment

• Tasks are regularly performed with exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• Risk of electrical shock and radiation.
• Work near mechanical parts.
• May work in high, precarious places.
• Very loud noise levels equivalent to earth moving equipment and jack hammers.
• Ability to stay on the road up to 100 percent of the time.
