Tower Loader Nights

About the role

Our focus is simple but meaningful, from our distribution centers to our offices — every employee of C&S and their family of companies works to help feed local families, neighbors and communities. As a Tower Loader, you will move pallets of merchandise from staging areas and load proper trailers. This is a fast-paced role, perfect for energetic individuals who are highly organized and like to stay active.

Responsibilities

• Load full pallets of merchandise into trailers and ensure damage is avoided.
• Utilize forklifts, electric pallet jacks and/or clamp machines to move merchandise.
• Inspect trailers for damage before loading.
• Utilize RF handhelds and/or voice to verify loading of pallets.
• Wrap pallets with stretch wrap.
• Move at a fast pace to prevent backlog of trucks and/or product.
• Perform equipment inspections & complete appropriate forms.
• Occasionally safely lift varying case weight, shape, and height levels.
• Keep work area clean.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50°F to 90°F)

Physical demands

• Continually standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift.
• Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• Frequently lifting product weighing between 1 – 60 lbs. or more.
• Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead.
• Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height.
• Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools.

Requirements

• One or more years of experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
• Previous loading experience utilizing forklifts, electric pallet jack, etc.
• Strong sense of safety and ability to follow standard safety procedures.
• Team-oriented outlook with a passion for helping others.
• Desire to work with a team to support causes that positively impact our communities.
• Ability and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures.

Pay

Starting rate $19/hr with an earning potential of $25+/hr after training.

Schedule

Full Time, 3rd shift available

• Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday OR Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday
• 6pm start until done (overtime as required)
