Tower Foreman- Wireless Tower Construction

About the role

KCI Technologies is seeking an experienced Tower Foreman to lead a crew in wireless tower construction projects, including new tower builds, collocations, modifications, and equipment upgrades. Experience with Verizon Mods and NSD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations at assigned construction sites.
• Climb towers 100+ feet tall while carrying a 50 lb. load; perform physical tasks such as crouching, kneeling, and twisting throughout the workday.
• Maintain daily paperwork for the site and crew, including job instructions from leadership.
• Ensure safety and quality control at sites and with crew members.
• Compile and upload site-specific closeout documentation to customer interfaces.
• Coordinate with customer representatives for site activities and maintain strong working relationships.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and training to crew members.
• Maintain equipment, vehicles, and workspaces in operational and clean condition.
• Use a smart phone to install and support apps for customer and KCI support.
• Demonstrate expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety, and general industry knowledge.
• Read and interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings, and Statements of Work (SOW).
• Maintain DOT logbooks if applicable.
• Recognize and ensure a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency.
• Lead, teach, and train proper work and safety procedures.
• Manage and record paperwork using tools like Excel and Word.
• Work weekends, nights, in extreme weather conditions, and travel extensively as required.
• Work out of market or away from home based on project demands.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in tower construction or a related field.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to maintain required certifications (e.g., First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR, Connector attachment).
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check; motor vehicle checks may be required.
