What You'll Do
- Respond to emergency service requests
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues
- Provide roadside assistance on member vehicles
- Tow vehicles to specified locations
- Perform electrical, fuel, or other system diagnosis
- Offer customer service to members and other departments
- Advise manager of vehicle or operational issues
- Contribute to minor vehicle repairs on fleet vehicles
- Collaborate with team to achieve department and organizational goals
- Incorporate AAA's vision, mission, and values in daily activities
About the Role
At AAA Washington, we provide best-in-class roadside assistance, discounts, and rewards to our members. Our Fleet Technician role involves providing emergency mechanical assistance, towing, and minor vehicle repairs.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Provide emergency mechanical assistance on member vehicles
- Tow vehicles to specified locations following correct safety and towing procedures
- Perform electrical, fuel, or other system diagnosis on vehicles
- Address customer service needs
- Advise manager of vehicle or operational issues
- Contribute to minor vehicle repairs on fleet vehicles
- Collaborate with team to achieve department and organizational goals
- Incorporate AAA’s vision, mission, and values in day-to-day activities
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Pass and maintain DOT physical requirements test
- 3+ years’ work experience in automotive and/or customer service field
- 1+ years’ of demonstrated mechanical aptitude and reasoning
- Meet minimum age requirement for insurability
Prior to Employment
- Valid Washington State driver’s license
- Technical school certification preferred
Salary
Hiring Range: $25.30 – $30.35 per hour
You will also receive the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus based on company performance.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This position is deemed to be a safety-sensitive position
- The work schedule for this position is 10-hour shifts with unscheduled overtime
- Regularly balances, bends, kneels, and lifts up to 50 pounds, occasionally up to 75 pounds
- Frequently required to use personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials
- May work around moving objects or vehicles and will need to be aware of surroundings for personal safety
