Tour Guide - Salem Pub Crawl

About the role

US Ghost Adventures is seeking engaging storytellers, theater, acting and history enthusiasts, and public speakers to join our team as a Haunted Pub Crawl Tour Guide in Salem. This part-time role combines historical storytelling, local lore, and guest entertainment as you lead walking tours through historic drinking establishments and haunted locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of up to 20 guests on walking pub crawl tours lasting 1.5 to 2 hours through historic Salem
• Deliver fun, compelling historical narratives, true crime accounts, and ghost stories with enthusiasm and professional public speaking skills
• Coordinate with partner venues and bar staff to ensure smooth group transitions and a welcoming experience at each stop
• Provide exceptional customer service, answer guest questions, and facilitate a memorable, entertainment-driven tour experience

Requirements

• A deep passion for history, storytelling, and historic research
• Strong public speaking skills to engage and educate your tour groups
• Prior experience as a bartender, acting or theater experience is helpful

Pay

$60.00 base pay per 90-minute tour ($40.00/hr rate). Tips range from $20 to over $100 per tour, with bonuses based on performance.
