Nature of Duties/Responsibilities
- Build electronic assemblies by following blueprints, drawings, and step-by-step instructions.
- Use soldering irons and hot air stations to create strong, reliable connections.
- Carefully check finished items using tools like microscopes or magnifying lamps.
- Find and fix soldering issues or missing parts to ensure everything works correctly.
- Follow technical instructions to repair or modify parts that need fixing.
- Use specialized tools to remove and replace components without damaging the board.
- Help the team meet production goals by managing your workflow and prioritizing tasks.
- Follow company quality rules and keep accurate records of your work.
- Report any equipment or material issues to your supervisor immediately.
- Work well with other departments (like Engineering or Materials) to solve problems.
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe (using "5S" standards).
- Look for ways to make our processes better and more efficient.
Education and Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in electronic assembly and hand soldering.
- Proven ability to solder and de-solder components.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of how to identify electronic parts and check for correct polarity.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills; ability to work under a microscope.
- Familiarity with ESD (static-safe) procedures and IPC quality standards (like IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001) is a big plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate clearly (verbal and written) and work well in a team.
- Problem-solving skills and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
Pay
Salary Range (annual): $52,000 - $58,240 ($25 - $28/hourly)
