Tote Washer - 2nd Shift

About the Role

Follow process procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production Finished Good Totes and production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene conditions are met. Primarily clean finished goods totes and meet cleaning expectations while also helping production in cleaning equipment during changeovers to effectively remove allergens. Assist in keeping the work area clean and organized. Report any safety concerns to management and follow all safety and food safety requirements. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises or updates supervisor/manager of progress and non-routine issues.

Responsibilities

• Follows established procedures for the cleaning and sanitation of production equipment.
• Assist in cleaning of room equipment.
• Completes required reporting to reflect activity.
• Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Keeps work area clean and organized.
• Operates in a fast-paced work environment.
• Operates forklift and floor scrubber.
• Follows safety requirements and wears appropriate PPE.
• Follows food safety practices and GMP.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• At least six months of experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
• Able to communicate and take directions from the Sanitation Supervisor or QA Supervisor.

• Regularly required to stand.
• Occasionally required to sit, walk, stoop, lift, push/pull, or crouch.
• May occasionally lift up to 45-50 pounds.
• Will regularly push or pull 70-80 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
