About the Role

The Total Rewards Specialist is an integral member of the Human Resources team and is responsible for supporting the design, development, implementation, and administration of compensation and benefits programs that drive business results, enhance culture, and comply with regulatory requirements.

This individual will demonstrate strong attention to detail combined with excellent analytical skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while prioritizing multiple activities. The role operates at an advanced individual contributor level, serving as a key resource for complex compensation analysis, program support, and stakeholder consultation without formal people management responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development, implementation, management, and administration of total rewards programs.
  • Conduct ad hoc compensation data analysis, interpret results, review and recommend salary offers, identify trends, and raise issues.
  • Participate in compensation surveys and analyze external market data trends.
  • Maintain and enhance the company’s job architecture.
  • Administer annual compensation processes, including merit increases, incentive plans, and salary structure updates.
  • Maintain salary grades, ranges, and compensation frameworks.
  • Design effective, efficient, and easy-to-understand custom reports and dashboards to enable fact-based compensation decisions.
  • Partner with finance to ensure financial planning, budgeting, and accruals related to total rewards programs are completed accurately and on time.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation to ensure consistent, accurate, and repeatable processes, and recommend process improvements for efficiency.
  • Partner with payroll across multiple countries to ensure timely processing of pay-related payments, such as corporate bonus payments.
  • Analyze internal and external market data to address compensation-related needs, including preparing and presenting recommendations.
  • Assist in benefits enrollment planning and administration.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Payroll, HRMS, and Finance to coordinate total rewards administration and resolve issues.
  • Provide compensation guidance and support for employee-related decisions in compliance with country-specific laws and regulations.
  • Maintain positive relationships with total rewards vendors and third-party administrators.
  • Collaborate with HCM teams to ensure compensation-related resources are properly updated and maintained.
  • Participate in HR technology implementations and enhancement projects related to compensation.
  • Develop and maintain compensation tools, models, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of related experience in compensation, benefits, or total rewards.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, HR, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (preferred).

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, salary surveys, job evaluation methodologies, and market pricing.
  • Familiarity with enterprise HR data systems, preferably Oracle (preferred).
