About the role

The QA Manager is responsible for developing, producing, and supplying products that meet customer and consumer expectations. They also protect the brand(s) by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and engaging the organization to maintain the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the organization to develop and produce products that exceed customer and consumer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and protect the brand(s).
  • Mentor and develop the Total Quality team.
  • Monitor and ensure continuous improvement on product quality and quality system.
  • Monitor and ensure continuous improvement of the Food Safety Program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in food science/Technology or related field required.
  • 5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Bakery or food/beverage manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a managerial capacity in a manufacturing/quality environment required.
  • Extensive experience in Total Quality within consumer food production environments, with a proven track record in leading TQ teams.
  • Experience with regulatory inspectors: AIB, BRC, OSHA, Military, Health Department, EPA, City & County Inspectors.
  • Team management/leadership/development skills.
  • Successful in building and mentoring high performance teams committed to quality and promoting a spirit of teamwork and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Bilingual English & Spanish REQUIRED.

  • Comfortable communicating and operating within an internationally matrixed environment.
  • Able to perform simple analysis.
  • Able to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends.
  • Strong Computer skills including Microsoft Office Applications.

  • Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Total Quality leadership and development skills.
  • Regulatory inspector experience (AIB, BRC, OSHA, Military, Health Department, EPA, City & County Inspectors).

Pay

$110,000.00 - $113,000.00 plus $7k Discretionary Bonus

Schedule

Flexible hours including holidays and weekends.
