About the role
Vail-Summit Orthopaedics & Neurosurgery (VSON) is seeking a highly skilled and board-certified/board-eligible Orthopaedic Total Joints Surgeon to join their team. The ideal candidate will deliver advanced, patient-centered spine care while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary orthopaedic and neurosurgical environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct physical examinations using medical instruments and equipment to assess mobility and strength.
- Administer or order tests, analyses, and diagnostic images; analyze reports and findings.
- Oversee maintenance of case histories and medical records.
- Diagnose conditions and administer or prescribe treatments, medications, and rehabilitation as applicable.
- Perform surgery.
- Attend to patients in clinic or hospital and re-examine disability cases periodically to verify progress.
- Monitor effectiveness of pain management interventions (e.g., medications, spinal injections).
Requirements
- MD/DO degree
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Experience in total joint arthroplasty
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Qualifications
- Completed residency in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Passing scores on USMLE or COMLEX
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Colorado
