About the role

Join our El Super Store Operations Team as a Tortilleria Clerk - #49 in Long Beach, California. We serve as the supermarket of choice for our diverse communities, offering exceptional value and variety at the lowest possible prices.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Assist customers, clean, fill and rotate tortilla displays, and assist making a variety of different tortillas and masa for the department.
• Work in a fast-paced grocery store environment, performing tasks such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling.
• Ensure compliance with food handler card or equivalent certification for all food-related positions.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Qualifications

• Basic PC/Outlook skills.
• Retail Management Certificate.
