Key Responsibilities
- Cook up the daily issue, return, tracking, and organization of company tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of tools, equipment, consumables, and shop materials.
- Inspect, clean, test, and perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they remain job-ready.
- Identify damaged or missing equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements.
- Mobilize and demobilize tools, equipment, and materials for construction projects throughout the region.
- Load, unload, secure, and transport equipment safely using company vehicles and trailers.
- Absorb shipments, stock inventory, and organize deliveries.
- Cook up vehicle movements for inspections, maintenance appointments, fueling, and cleaning.
- Operate forklifts and various material handling equipment safely.
- Assist with field crews by preparing tool packages and ensuring equipment is available before project mobilization.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe toolroom, warehouse, and shop environment.
- Perform routine facility maintenance, landscaping, and general upkeep of company property.
- Assist with special projects and provide operational support to various departments as needed.
- Recommend improvements to inventory organization, storage methods, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory, inspections, repairs, and equipment movement.
- Follow all company safety policies and maintain a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in construction, industrial maintenance, warehouse operations, logistics, equipment management, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience operating power tools and hand tools safely.
- Working knowledge of construction equipment, tools, and industrial materials.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 50+ pounds.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work collaboratively with office staff and field crews.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory tracking systems.
- CDL or experience pulling trailers is a plus, but not required.
