Responsibilities

• Able to operate a variety of machine tools (i.e. Tig/Mig/Arc Welders, lathes, milling machines, etc.)
• Verify conformance of machines or repaired dies to specifications by checking dimensions, clearances, and alignments
• Troubleshoot problems during production
• Able to set up appropriate tools in the department
• Follow safe work practices and company work procedures at all times
• Assure work performed complies with QS9000 standards
• Maintain tooling Quality STD’s and Preventative/Predictive Maintenance program to ensure compliance with QS9000 Requirements
• Able to work overtime as required
• Perform other duties as required

Requirements

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or 5 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Completion of a 4-year Tool & Die apprenticeship program
• Tool and Die Maker with related experience/familiar with assembly tooling work
• Good hand dexterity, mechanical skills, mathematical skills and organizational skills
• Minimum of 7 years' experience with assembly tooling with minimum 5 years specializing in new assembly tool construction and robot tooling
• Hemming die or clinch tool experience is required
• Metrology experience including exposure to and using master-buck tooling

Pay

$30.10 - $38.89 per hour
