Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of the design, development and troubleshooting of all forged and machined products and associated tooling.
- Inventory control, budgeting and sourcing of all forging and machining tooling.
- Engineering support and tool cost estimating of new products for the Sales department.
- Collaborate with Quality and Process Engineering on quality improvement and cost reduction efforts related to forging tooling and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent engineering experience
- 5 years of similar tool design experience
- Purchasing and vendor management experience required
- Self-starter with strong interpersonal skills and collaborative work style that promotes a cross-functional unified approach to process control and improvements
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer aided design software (AutoCAD & SolidWorks).
- Ability to apply finite element analysis and three-dimensional design computer modeling is preferred.
