No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Washington, PA will be considered. Active-duty military members exempt from this geographical limitation.
What you will do
- Design and develop stamping tooling including strip layouts, simulations, die construction and press specifications
- Develop and construct progressive dies and tools to produce steel outlet boxes
- Implement maintenance and repair programs for production tooling to ensure optimal performance and longevity
- Inspect completed parts and compare to die specifications for accuracy and quality, adhering to strict manufacturing standards
- Identify and resolve problems to minimize downtime and maintain workflow
- Work closely with engineering and Master Die Makers to improve die designs and enhance production efficiency
- Maintain accurate records of die maintenance, repairs, and modifications for future reference
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and die performance
- Track and report progress of tooling programs from sourcing to a production ready state
Basic (Required) Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Institution is required
- Minimum of two years of experience designing complex, progressive stamping dies
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency with lean manufacturing tools/elements (VSM, 5S, Std Work, Set-Up Reduction, etc.)
- Experience with Servo Press
- Understanding of die sensors, vision inspection, and/or related technology with ability to incorporate into tooling or process
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements including participation in audits
- Ability to troubleshoot stamping operations
- Understanding of ANSI/ISO drawing standards and knowledge of GD&T dimensioning
- Knowledge of Wire EDM and/or CNC machining technologies
- Knowledge of tool steels and their applications
