About the role
Aid in the design, build and maintenance of molds and fixtures used in plastic injection molding and assembly.
Responsibilities
- Readily make and/or correct 3D prints utilizing ProE technology.
- Convert ProE drawings into CAM-based computer files for use with CNC machines and complete the production/fabrication of tools.
- Analyze specifications, lay out metal stock, set up and operate machine tools, and fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, or machinists’ hand tools, applying knowledge of tool design, shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout, machining and assembly procedures.
- Examine standard tools and modify tools as required.
- Lay out, machine, fit, assemble and finish metal parts to make and repair dies for plastic injection molds.
- Analyze specifications and apply knowledge of die and mold design and construction.
- Other assignments as directed by immediate supervisor or their designee.
Requirements
- Technical school degree or 5 years related experience (required).
- 5 years related manufacturing experience, plastic injection molding experience and CAD/CAM software experience.
Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write English (required).
- Computer literate.
- Additional on-the-job training provided.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Skills & Competencies

Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
