Tool Install Equipment Technicians (contract)

About the role

Join Intel Foundry Construction and Sourcing (FCS) in building the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturing factories across the globe. The scope of our work includes New Wafer Fabrication factories (Fabs), Fab Conversions, Process Tools Install, Infrastructure, and Progressive Build. As a Tool Equipment Install Technician, you will be an individual contributor reporting to the Tool Install Manager, responsible for innovating and creating impact on our business in a fast-paced, rewarding environment.

Responsibilities

• Blueprint Reading: Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure structures and systems are built according to specifications.
• Mathematical Proficiency: Perform accurate measurements and calculations to avoid costly mistakes and reduce rework.
• Tool Handling: Operate a wide range of tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Material Knowledge: Recognize different materials and their properties to select the right resources for specific tasks, ensuring durability and compliance with standards.
• Problem Solving: Address unexpected challenges on construction sites and in factories to keep projects on track.
• Project Management: Plan, execute, and monitor multiple projects.
• Supplier Management: Manage suppliers and contractors to ensure they meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Lean Principles: Apply lean principles to ensure efficient and safe construction through commissioning operations.
• Safety: Champion and drive a Culture of Care in all environments, from offices to construction sites, and from front-end planning to tool equipment construction and commissioning execution.
• Communication: Minimize confusion by asking the right questions, expressing ideas proactively, and articulating thoughts clearly in both spoken and written forms.
• Collaboration: Work harmoniously with project management staff and construction crew members to ensure steady progress.
• Time Management: Meet tight deadlines by being punctual and focusing on work during company time.
• Organization: Enhance productivity and efficiency through proper storage of materials and tools, task prioritization, clear instructions, and accurate record-keeping.
• Problem-Solving: Develop creative and logical solutions to unique workplace challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have at least one of the following:
  • Associate’s Degree related to semiconductor manufacturing (electronics, electronic engineering technology, engineering, or another related technical field of study)
  • 2+ years of technical experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process tool install, equipment maintenance, or military technical experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or another related technical field.
