As a Tool & Die Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the tooling and equipment that help us manufacture high-quality tailor welded blanks for the automotive industry. Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve production dies, tooling, fixtures, and assemblies
• Diagnose tooling issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime
• Perform preventive maintenance on tooling and tool room equipment
• Operate manual machining equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, presses, and band saws
• Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate, modify, and repair tooling
• Support die changeovers, equipment setup, and production startup activities
• Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to improve tooling performance, safety, and reliability
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe

Qualifications

We're interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:

• Tool & Die Machining
• Industrial maintenance
• Fabrication
• Welding
• Automotive manufacturing
• Stamping operations

Additional qualifications include:

• Experience operating manual machining equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, or drill presses
• Experience with die changeovers, equipment setup, troubleshooting, or preventive maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators
• Technical school, apprenticeship, or related skilled trades training is preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
