Responsibilities
- Set up machining jobs, lay out parts, and inspect finished work using standard machine shop and quality inspection tools.
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, height gauges, gauge blocks, gauge pins, and angle plates.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Machining and building tooling, prototypes, and production parts that meet design requirements.
- Inspection of finished parts and verifying dimensions to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Identify and solve machining issues while supporting engineering and manufacturing teams with tooling and prototype projects.
- Show strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in Machining, CNC Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
- One to two years’ experience operating CNC equipment for cutting, milling, and drilling operations.
- An understanding of core shop capabilities including mathematics, trigonometry, welding, tooling, assembly of tooling, and sheet metal.
Salary
$23.00 - $26.00 per hour
