About the role
As a Tool & Die Maker, you will fabricate and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures in accordance with company manufacturing procedures and safety policies. You will utilize machining equipment, technical drawings, and engineering specifications to produce precision tooling that supports manufacturing operations. Collaborating with production and engineering teams, you will develop prototype components, improve tooling capabilities, and ensure manufacturing processes remain safe, efficient, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Determine materials and machines needed to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Compute dimensions, plan layouts, and determine assembly methods and sequences of operations for fabrication activities.
- Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock for machining.
- Set up and operate required machines to successfully and safely fabricate components.
- Verify that fabricated parts conform to specifications and quality standards.
- Develop prototype parts and tooling solutions when required.
- Record tooling modifications and maintain tooling history documentation.
- Polish and refinish parts as needed.
- Comply with company productivity, quality, and safety requirements.
- Operate forklifts when required to support manufacturing activities.
- Perform additional duties based on workload and business requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Certificate in CIMM or a related industrial technology discipline preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in a tool room with a related technical certificate, or 5+ years of tool room experience without a related technical certificate.
- Experience fabricating, modifying, and repairing tooling in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Intermediate math and reading skills.
- Working knowledge of lathes, mills, and other industrial equipment used in the machine shop.
- Ability to write and modify CNC programs.
- Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements
- Sufficient motor skills to successfully and safely use required tools and machinery.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for the majority of a scheduled shift, typically 8–10 hours per day, with possible longer hours when overtime is required.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, including alternate shifts and weekends, as required by business needs.
Schedule
Onsite role with working hours from 2 pm to 10 pm.
