Responsibilities

  • Enroll & participate in our U.S. Department of Labor recognized Tool & Die Apprenticeship Program via Ivy Tech course work and on-the-job training; as specified in our Standards of Apprenticeship Agreement
  • Assist with repairs and/or modifications to all tools and fixtures
  • Assist technical services in machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required
  • Safely operate all tool room equipment
  • Assist with assembling and disassembling tooling, dies, gauges, etc.
  • Assist with trouble shooting and resolution of tooling issues
  • Work with various materials such as general steels, tool steels, and advanced high strength steels
  • Work with a variety of tooling machinery; lathes, mills, grinders, drill press, jigs & fixtures, CNC equipment, TIG welding, etc.
  • Must have or acquire personal tools to perform job assignment
  • Must be able to work any shift

Education And/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or equivalent experience
