The Tool Crib Attendant will be responsible for ordering, storing, issuing, sharpening, and maintaining all tools, fixtures, job boxes, etc. for the machine shop. The candidate will work closely with the shop lead to ensure there are no delays in production.
Responsibilities
- Perform all work in a safe manner, using appropriate PPE and following safety guidelines for the assigned task.
- Order, store, issue, sharpen and maintain all tools and fixtures for the machine shop.
- Maintain the appropriate inventory level of all tools and hardware by ordering as needed and/or working with vendors (MSC).
- Ensure tools and fixtures are kitted and issued to the floor along with setup sheet as requested from floor and/or from Router/OP sheet.
- Identifying, marking and storing new and used tools, fixtures, job boxes, etc needed to run production are stored in inventory database (SBT).
