Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair machine shop tools using machining operations and measuring instruments
• Work from blueprints, models and sketches to repair or modify tools, dies, jigs, gauges and molds
• Apply knowledge of manufacturing systems, steel fabrication, and welding processes
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues in order to maintain quality standards
• Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances of tools
• Assist in general housekeeping of the department
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a safe work environment at all times
• Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned
• Work extended hours when required

Qualifications

• High school diploma and completion of a craft apprenticeship or an equivalent number of years of education and tool and die experience
• Manufacturing experience a plus
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
