Tool and Die Maker Apprentice

About the role

This full-time, hourly Tool and Die Maker Apprentice works on the 2nd shift (2 pm–10:30 pm) and reports to the Tool and Die Supervisor. The role is part of the Tool and Die team, combining on‑the‑job training with coursework at a local college to develop skilled‑trade expertise in the tool room.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to repair and make new components.
• Work from verbal or written instructions.
• Perform weld repair and heat treatment of various materials, including tool steels.
• Use precision measuring and gaging tools to conduct required inspections.
• Tear down, repair, and reassemble tooling in the press and on the bench.
• Gain knowledge and experience of a skilled trades associate through local college coursework combined with daily on‑the‑job training.
